DIY Shallow Water Anchor

Home built shallow water anchor system. Power-Rod! or Bottom-Grabber! I don’t know which name to keep. I built this from stuff in my garage, a few things off ebay and our local home improvement store. Details: it extends 8′ measured from water line on boat to end of fiberglass rod fully extended. I used 1″ square aluminum tube for the “arms” and a 2″ angle for the “mount”. The linear actuator is IP65 rated and will hold 500lbs….Sorry I was mistaken in the audio, I said 1000 lbs.
